Friendly Chipping Campden residents

Having just moved here from Greenwich, London to Chipping Campden, I would like through the Bulletin to thank the many friends and neighbours (they know who they are) for their warm and generous welcome. It is very nice to be made part of a friendly community having come from a large and "too busy to pass the time of day" area.

Blockley Ladies Choir strike the right note

Blockley ladies choir brought back some impressive silverware from the recent mid-Somerset music festival at Bath Guildhall, where they won two of the four classes they entered. Their success was especially pleasing as they are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and will be performing favourite pieces from their repertoire at a special anniversary concert in St.

12th June Ebrington Gardening club visits Upton Wold

As part of it's extensive 2007/2008 programme Ebrington and District Gardening Club is visiting Upton Wold, near Moreton in Marsh, on Tuesday 12th June for a private evening visit.

The gardens are set around a c17th century manor house hidden in a wold and contain part of the National Collection of Juglans (Juglans are Walnut Trees).

The garden is ever developing and ever changing and has wonderful views.

Pedigree Whippet Racing

Whippet Racing3rd June Sunday Moreton in Marsh Cricket Cub

The Whippet Club Racing Association (WRCA) are holding their second Championship meeting of 2007 at Moreton in Marsh.

This meeting is straight championship event over a 150 yard straight track and the dogs will run in weight groups, running off level or scratch.
