Simon Chorley Art and Antiques, in conjunction with John Beer of are pleased to present their 2008 Arts and Crafts exhibition, ‘Influences and Inspiration’. This is a combined loan and selling exhibition which will provide a rare opportunity to purchase furniture and decorative objects from the period together with pieces produced today using the same methods and ideals.

Versicality 2008 is back at Ebrington in the North Cotswolds

Another of Ebrington's famous evenings of entertainment is back for a fourth year.

Cotswolds MP calls for action on pedigree dog breeding

The plight of dogs suffering from genetic disorders caused through pedigree dog breeding was demonstrated in a recent BBC One Documentary titled “Pedigree Dogs Exposed”.
The programme was deeply critical of the current set up of the Kennel Club and dog shows, in particular their insistence on breeding traits into pedigree dogs which can have painful and life threatening consequences on the dogs.  The MP has been highly critical of the Kennel Club’s complete disregard for the animals suffering.

Cotswold coffee morning gives £500 to charity

Coffee and cakes were snapped up this month when keen staff at Cotswold District Council raised £500 through a charity Coffee Morning.

Steve Edwards is back and running - Marathon number 454 is completed

Remember that Cotswolds based Steve Edwards is going for a world record by completing 500 marathons at an average race time of under 3 hours 20 minutes. He aims to complete the 500 marathons in Year 2012 to coincide with both the Olympics in the UK and his own 50th birthday. He has just completed Marathon Number 454 after a well deserved rest following on from his world record breaking time for a 10 marathons in 10 days challenge set in May this year.

Cotswolds MP shows support for Post Office Card Account

Following the Government’s decision earlier this year to close 12 post offices across the Cotswolds, local MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has been further inundated with correspondence regarding the Post Office Card Account.
