Free sport sessions for disabled children and young people come to the Cotswolds

An initiative to keep disabled children active and involved in a range of sports will be launched by Cotswold District Council and its partners later this month.

Free multi-sport sessions will start at the Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water on January 28th, where children aged seven and up can come along and take part in several different sports

New parking fees proposed for Cotswold District

New parking charges are being proposed by Cotswold District Council Cabinet at its meeting on 20th January 2009.  At the same time a recommendation for a new parking tariff of five hours is also being recommended to help part-time workers and to encourage visitors to stay longer in the area.

Minety man fined after fly-tipping offence

A year-long investigation into a fly-tipping incident was concluded this week after Cotswold District Council successfully prosecuted a Minety man at Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
