Cheltenham Literature Festival5th - 14th October at venues throughout Cheltenham

This year's Festival, which is sponsored by "The Times" and in association with Waterstone's,

‘Arty-ology’ event at Cirencester’s Corinium Museum

Come to the Corinium Museum, Cirencester this autumn and discover your creative side, thanks to ‘Arty-ology’, a drop-in drawing session for the whole family being held on Saturday October 13th.

The event, which runs from 11am-3pm, will give young and old alike the chance to draw unusual artefacts from the museum’s collection and experiment with a range of different art materials provided by museum staff.

Sixteen members of the Royal Academy (RA) revisit the Fosse Gallery in September.

Champion Grass Crop - R & J Baldwyn from High Crest, Hidcote Boyce, Chipping Campden.

The results of the first of the on-farm competitions organised by the Moreton Show have been announced and local farmers R & J Baldwin have won the Williams and Hawkins Challenge Trophy for their champion grass crop.

Romeo and Juliet - The Hidcote Play

The Hidcote Play returns with an outdoor performance of Romeo and Juliet performed by the The Lord Chamberlain's Men.

The Chamberlain Company built the Globe Theatre in 1699. William Shakespeare,being a member of the Chamberlain Company, became� a shareholder in the Theatre.

The Cotswolds Festival of Steam

The GWR is all ready for their big event of the year - the Cotswold Festival of Steam- which is based at their Toddington, Winchcombe and Cheltenham Racecourse stations.

The biggest "name" will be Gresley LNER V2 class 2-6-2 No 4771 Green Arrow which is coming from the National Railway Museum in York.

May 15-26 - Chipping Campden Music Festival

This is the 6th annual festival to be held in St James' Church and this years highlights include Pascal Roge and Richard Goode on piano, John Lill on piano playing Beethoven, Chopin,Schumann, Haydn and Prokofiev plus the English Chamber Orchestra, the London Winds, The Tallis Scholars, The Borodin Quartet and The Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
