New Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor announced for University of Gloucestershire

The University of Gloucestershire has confirmed that Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dr Paul Hartley will take over as Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor on 1 August upon the retirement of Professor Patricia Broadfoot. Dr Hartley has been in the role of Acting Chief Executive since the end of March.

The University of Gloucestershire has been awarded a ‘first class honours’ in this year’s University Green League, complied by the People & Planet student campaign group.

And the University has come in second for its green credentials out of 133 British universities, bettering last year’s position of fifth place. This year’s table is topped by the University of Plymouth.

The University’s Students’ Union (SU) is showing Al Gore’s movie about climate change, An Inconvenient Truth, on Monday June 7 at The Park campus.
