New management plan for the Cotswolds

A new five year plan has been published by the Cotswolds Conservation Board aimed at looking after the landscape of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and supporting the communities that live and work here.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway will be celebrating all things diesel with its first Heritage Diesel Weekend, Friday to Sunday, 26th to 28 July and two freshly-overhauled locomotives are expected to be making their debut appearances in preservation following long and complex overhauls at Toddington.

Record breaking 18th Annual Classic Car Run

The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury Annual Classic Car Run took place on Sunday 30 June 2013 with a record number of vintage, classic, and rare models completing the 80-mile course.

Not only a record number of vehicles, 200, but at £10,000 the most raised for Charitable causes in the events 18 year history.

You wait for ages then 30 come at once.

There are plenty of buses to catch at the GWSR Bus Rally on Sunday 14th July. Sunday will see the car park at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railways Toddington station crammed with buses. That's because the railway, which is enjoying a highly successful 2013, will be running its popular Bus Rally.
