Historic Westonbirt Estate reunited for visitors in April

Westonbirt Estate Open Days Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th April 2010

On 12th and 13th April, visitors to Westonbirt - the National Arboretum,
which is managed by the Forestry Commission, will have the chance to
explore the 150-year legacy of the Westonbirt Estate.

This rare opportunity will be included in the price of admission to the
arboretum.

Cotswold Museum hosts animal safari to support National Childminding Week

Children will be taken on a special safari tour this week at the Corinium Museum as part of a national event to support children and their minders.

The children and their carers will be donning safari style pith helmets and binoculars for an ‘animal safari' event around the Cirencester museum on Thursday June 18th, as part of National Childminding Week from June 13th - 20th.

RNLI inland lifeboat day, Croft Farm Water Park, 24th May

The Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Newent branches of the RNLI are holding an inland lifeboat day at Croft Farm Water Park, Bredon's Hardwick near Tewkesbury on Sunday 24th May 2009.

Past and present writing styles on show at Cotswold Museum

Writing styles from ancient times to the modern day are explored at the Corinium Museum next month through a calligraphy exhibition.

‘The Long Tradition' exhibition, being held at the Cirencester museum from May 9th - June 21st, will examine the development of western calligraphy, studying early Greek writing through to modern computer-designed letters and forms.
