Steve Edwards runs under 3 hours at Leicester Marathon this week

After Loch Ness last week Steve only had to pop up to Leicester this Sunday - 11th October 2009 - for this week's marathon. What a result, his 25th sub 3 hour marathon. What a runner - very well done.

Steve Edwards drives 1000 miles to run the Loch Ness Marathon - another week , another Marathon!

Steve Edwards lives at Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswolds but last weekend he drove a round trip of 1000 miles to run in the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday 4th October 2009. 
How does he do it? How amazing is that!And he still finished in 61st place. 
Steve ran for Bourton Roadrunners and his race number was 1716 with 3521 runners entered for the race.

Steve Edwards goes to the New Forest for this weeks marathon

Steve was in New Milton, Hampshire on Sunday 27th September 2009 for the New Forest Marathon. He was wearing Race Number 821 and running for Bourton Roadrunners.

Another week, another marathon completed by Steve Edwards

Marathons are now a weekly event for Moreton-in-Marsh based Steve Edwards as he keeps to his intensive world record challenge programme.
Sunday 13th September 2009 saw him racing in Nottingham in the Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running.

Steve Edwards goes local for his 420th Marathon run in under 3 hours 30 minutes

The marathons are coming thick and fast now as September and October are by far the busiest months for long distance running events.


Steve went to Wolverhampton on Sunday 6th September to run in the Carver Wolverhampton City Marathon. The race starts and finishes at the West Park Wolverhampton and Steve was racing under Number 2028.

Steve Edwards goes to Ireland to run his first marathon under his new world record targets

On Sunday 30th August 2009 Steve Edwards continued his world record challenge by going to Ireland to compete in the Longford Marathon.
Longford is situated in the Irish Midlands and County Longford lies in the Shannon Basin and the upper catchment area of the River Erne.

Steve Edwards rewrites his 2012 World Record challenge

In 1988, Steve Edwards, from Moreton in Marsh, had a dream and embarked on a lifetime challenge to run 500 marathons in an average finish time of less than 3hrs 20min (200 minutes) and thus claim the record 'fastest 500 marathons run by an individual'.

Steve Edwards goes across the water for Marathon 481 and defends his V45 title

Steve Edwards from Moreton-in-the-Marsh completed Marathon Number 481 on Sunday 9th August 2009 by going across the water to compete in the SalClear Isle of Man Marathon.
This Marathon is organised by the IOM Veteran Athletes Club and is run on the Manx Northern Course starting and finishing in Ramsey.

Marathon Number 480 - 1st Home and a course record for Steve Edwards

Our Marathon Man, Steve Edwards, has been having a rest, or so it appears, when you look back at the Marathon schedule that he has run so far this year. However he is back! Marathon Number 480 completed at Faversham, Kent on Saturday 25th July 2009 - a first place and a course record.What a return!
