The Cotswold Art & Antique Dealers’ Association Fair returns for the second occasion to the elegant setting of Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire OX20 1PP from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st April 2013. Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, eldest daughter of the present Duke of Marlborough, has kindly accepted to be the new Patron of the Association.

A superb collection of Fine Art at Chorley's on 13th December

Chorley's forthcoming sale on Thursday 13th December contains a superb collection of prints, watercolours and oil paintings relating to Plymouth and its naval history.
There are several interesting views including Plymouth Fish Market (Lot 325) by Nicholas Matthew Condy (1818-1851), showing figures haggling, carrying an estimate of £2,500-3,000.

Pictures in the Spotlight at Chorley's in November

Pictures will be in the spotlight at Chorley's next sale on Thursday 15th November 2012. The sale includes a number of interesting Old Master paintings including Lot 526, an interior scene with a seated woman peeling turnips by the Dutch painter Quiringh Gerritsz van Brekelenkam (after 1622-1669 or later).

Thursday, October 11th 2012 will see an important mixed sale at Chorley's, primarily consisting of books, paintings and sporting items.

Chorley's forthcoming sale on Thursday 6th September promises to be a glittering affair as silver and jewellery come into the spotlight. These areas of antiques have been bucking the economic trend for some time and Chorley's salerooms have regularly witnessed extraordinarily high prices for natural pearls, gold and gems as well as Georgian silver.

VA VA VROOM..... Vintage and Classic Transport Sale Saturday 18th August 2012

A 1939 Leyland Cub fire engine will light up Chorley's Vintage and Classic Transport sale at Prinknash on Saturday 18th August 2012. From the estate of the late Melville Watts' of Lydney, it is one of several of his vehicles included in the sale that were often seen at events in the Forest of Dean, the fire engine is estimated to sell for between £8,000 and £10,000.
