Holy Orders at Chorley's on 21st October

Chorley’s have been instructed by the Trustees of Elmore to dispose of the principal furniture and important church plate from Elmore Abbey, near Newbury, Berkshire. The sale will take place at Prinknash Abbey on Thursday, 21st October 2010.

Record numbers flock to Westonbirt's Festival of the Tree

A record number of visitors attended this year's Festival of the Tree at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum.

Over 22,000 adults, concessions and children visited over the seven day event, which culminated in an auction of the Sculptree giant wood carvings on Bank Holiday Monday.

Two- Day Blockbuster Sale at Chorley's in September

Some hard work over the summer months by Chorley’s has resulted in a need for a two-day sale this month on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th September.  The first day, Thursday 23rd September they are selling books, pictures and furniture  including a strong section of lighting and mirrors.

The next sale at Chorley's new sale room at Prinknash is on 24th June

Chorley’s next sale on Thursday, 24th June will be the second auction to be conducted in the new upstairs sale room at Prinknash. As with their April sale, the venue offers eight large room settings displaying the collection to its very best effect.

Chorley’s are pleased to announce their first specialist sale of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Motorcycles, Automobilia and Memorabilia which will take place on Saturday 21st August 2010.  Amongst the highlights is a BSA Road Rocket, 650cc twin, 1957, estimate £4,000-5,000 and a Royal Enfield Constellation, 700cc, 1962, estimate £3,500-4,500.

Political Bigots now and then at Chorley's on Thursday 27th May

‘Squibs’ political cartoons of Gloucester come up for sale at Chorley’s on 27th May 

Chorley’s are to offer a selection of prints of political cartoons for sale on May 27th 2010 just weeks after the election.  Relating to elections in Gloucester and dating from 1876-1887 these lambaste some of the figures of the day.
