Along the Edge Charity Walk on 5th September raised £2500

63 intrepid walkers braved the rainy weather on Sunday to take part in The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury 14th annual sponsored walk, ‘Along the Edge’. Many familiar faces were supporting the Children’s Hospice South West, Bristol Urological Institute (BUI) and Rotary’s international charities.

The 5th Lecture Series at Armscote Manor in Warwickshire is in October

All the evenings start at 7pm with a glass of wine and the lectures begin at 7.30pm

Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury Along the Edge Charity Walk 5th September

The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury annual sponsored walk is now in its 14th year. We are continuing to support a children’s charity this year - the Children’s Hospice sw. They are raising funds for a third hospice near to St. Austell, Cornwall to add to the facilities already available at Little Bridge House, Barnstaple and Charlton Farm, Bristol.

Cirencester Fun Run raises £25,000 for Foundation

Organisers of a 10 kilometre Fun Run on the Bathurst Estate in Cirencester Park are delighted after £25,000 was raised for good causes.
 
More than 250 runners took part in the event, which raised funds for the St. James’s Place Foundation, a successful grant making charity that gives vital funds to charities registered in the UK.
 

Cotswolds MP secures review of Government funding for National Star College

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has today secured a review of funding for Specialist Independent Colleges after discovering that the National Star College would have been ineligible for funding recently announced by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
