Development Company buys Cheltenham Care Home

The former Ellerslie care home in Albert Road, Cheltenham has been bought by a consortium development company in a deal brokered by property agents Bruton Knowles.

Portobello Designs Limited has bought the large detached Regency villa set in 1.47 acres of grounds from Gloucestershire County Council.

Some 40 per cent of callers to exams helpline explore ‘other options'

Some 40 careers advisers at the national Exam Results Helpline received a significant 3,800 calls yesterday (A level results day) from students (and their parents) who didn't receive the exam results they expected and who needed advice about their future options.

University staff on standby to answer clearing calls

Staff at the University of Gloucestershire are standing by to answer hundreds of calls from students who are looking for a university place when the A level results are published this Thursday.
