Chipping Sodbury Christmas Market - Saturday 8 December

Sodbury Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Christmas Market on Saturday 8 December. Local farmers and food producers together with high quality arts and crafts suppliers are joining the town's shopkeepers to offer visitors and residents a relaxing day out to help them prepare for Christmas.

The World comes to Chipping Sodbury...

Early in December St. John's Church will welcome cribs from around the World to its annual Crib Festival.

Local schools and clubs are busily working on cribs to exhibit at the popular event and they will be joined by donations of cribs from as far afield as Indonesia, Mexico, Africa, Vietnam and from around Europe.

Snow stops Santa in his tracks on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway

Steam, Santa and snow seemed a perfect combination for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's  popular Santa Specials which run between Toddington and Winchcombe: that is, until the snow really set in and prevented staff from getting to the railway. 

On top of that, the freezing conditions started to prevent points and signals from working properly.
