Cotswold council offices to fly St Georges Flag

Cotswold District Council flagpoles will fly the St Georges Flag on Thursday April 23rd.

The Trinity Road offices in Cirencester and the Moreton Area Centre will both fly the flag in honour of the patron saint of England.

Council plants three Oak trees in Cirencester

Three English Oak trees have been planted in Cirencester this week as part of Cotswold District Council's ongoing tree strategy.

The three trees - approximately 10 years old and planted at the Kingsmeadow Picnic Area on Wednesday February 25th - were the first to be planted in the District under the Council's Replacement Tree Programme.

Major mosaic exhibition comes to Corinium Museum

The Corinium Museum will host a major mosaic exhibition this spring to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the BAMM - The British Association for Modern Mosaic.

To celebrate the occasion, the Council-owned venue will be showcasing mosaics from almost 60 established artists from Britain and abroad, alongside A-level mosaics from six students from the Queen Elizabeth Mercian School in Tamworth.

A project to paint part of Cirencester will get going this month as budding young graffiti artists tackle an underpass in the town.

The Chesterton underpass, which links Chesterton Lane with Deer Park School and Cirencester College, will have a new lease of life when an on-going project to paint it in a ‘street-art' style will start on Saturday January 24th.
