Shipston Proms celebrate Benjamin Britten

Youngsters from schools in Shipston-on-Stour took part in a celebratory performance of Benjamin Britten's community opera Noye's Fludde - Noah's Flood - as a highlight of the 15th annual Shipston Proms.

The production, by the Orchestra of the Swan, was staged in three performances at Townsend Hall last weekend.They marked the centenary of the composer's birth.

Battered Soul and Harriet Kelley won the event's Fame Contest at Shipston's Townsend Hall on Saturday.
