Have your say on housing in Gloucestershire

Residents in Gloucestershire are being asked to take part in the most important housing survey for three years.

The survey, which will arrive by post, will give all six district councils in Gloucestershire up-to-date information about the housing circumstances of local people.

The six district councils taking part are Gloucester, Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cotswold and the Forest of Dean.

The information will be used to help all the district councils identify the housing needs of local people and to plan how best to meet those needs in the coming years

As part of this initiative, Cotswold District Council is sending 8,000 questionnaires to residents in the Cotswolds.

Sir Edward Horsfall, Portfolio Holder for Community Services for Cotswold District Council said:

"If your household is randomly selected to take part in the survey, we would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire.

"We are interested in getting a full range of views, from homeowners and those that rent from housing associations or private landlords."

Cotswold District Council is encouraging everyone who gets the questionnaire to fill it in - even if they are not planning to move.

The information provided will be treated in strict confidence but will be very important as it will help give a balanced picture of housing requirements throughout the Cotswold District.
