moreto...see and at MORETON SHOW

The annual Moreton-in-Marsh Show looks set to be an even more fun packed day out for all ages - thanks to a number of exciting new additions.

The Countryside & Heritage Area, sponsored by Butler Sherborn estate agents, features demonstrations of traditional skills including stone walling, hedge laying, farriery, bell ringing and crafts.  Visit the Farming Feature exhibit to learn how bread, beer and cooking oil are produced from "field to plate" and find out more about the care and breeding of pigs and sheep.

Hook Norton Brewery will also be preparing a pair of Heavy Horses with their dray for showing on site, starting from the "straight from stable" state.

Within the Countryside & Heritage Area visitors will also find the exciting Land Rover Experience and perhaps have the chance to be driven over their off road obstacle course.  The second prize in the Show's Grand Raffle is an off-roading day thrashing round the woods & muddy tracks at Eastnor Castle presented by Land Rover - so make sure you buy a ticket for just £1 at the Show. First prize is a Subaru Justy worth £10,000!

For young children there will be a free nature trail. Children will be encouraged to find the wildlife photos around the showground and answer simple questions to be entered in a prize draw to win tickets for next year's show. Entry forms can be collected from Old Farm's Stand.

If you are passionate about food miles - you will want to visit the Food Retail Marquee, kindly sponsored once again by Warner Budgens, where most of the exhibitors are local producers and many of these companies have been recommended by Guy Warner himself.

Moreton Show will be held on Saturday 5th September. Tickets can be purchased in advance from, by calling 01749 813899 or in person from various local outlets.
