Reconsider - A new exhibition by Kate Hopkins putting charities in the spotlight

St Nicholas’s Church, Westgate Street, Gloucester, GL1 2TQ.
Open Thursday-Friday from 11am to 4pm, Thursday July 1-Saturday July 24. Private view Friday July 2 and also by appointment.

A University of Gloucestershire illustration student Kate Hopkins is raising money for five different charities by selling her work and online catalogues at a new exhibition of her work.
The 30-year-old mother of three from Cheltenham is launching Reconsider at St Nicholas’s Church on Thursday July 1. The exhibition will be held at the historic venue in Westgate Street, Gloucester, until Saturday July 24 and features a collection of visual art in oil and canvas, mixed media 3D work, video and animation.
Kate previously studied Foundation Art and Design, Fine Art Sculpture, at the then Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education and returned to undertake her BA in Illustration.
“The aim of the exhibition is to encourage the audience to reconsider personal and social values and perspective, mainly through a visual portrayal of incredible human beings. I’ll be publicising Tommy’s, Help for Heroes, Scope, Tiny Babies Big Appeal and the Churches Conservation Trust in my promotional material and at the exhibition. The exhibition will be staffed, and consequently there will be a donations box for the charities. Profits from the catalogues and any works or prints sold will be donated to them also.”
