The Club’s 30th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show will be held at The Washbrook Barn, Washbrook Farm, Ebrington, Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire GL55 6NW on Saturday 14th August.
This is a good traditional village show, with a wide range of exhibits, held in a lovely north cotswold village with the added bonus of a RHS gold medal being on show.Not many village shows can match that!
The Show is open to the public at 2.30 pm with the presentation of Prizes at 4.00 pm.
There will be a raffle and Afternoon Teas and Cakes. Admission £1.00
Entry is to members only, except for the Children’s Classes which are open to any child up to and including the age of 12 years and Floral Art which is open to Ebrington WI. and the Inter-Club Competition which is open to local gardening clubs.
There are no entry fees or cash prizes and exhibits can be staged on the morning of the Show between 7.30 am and 10.45 am
There are 21 Classes for Vegetables, 40 Classes for Flowers, 7 Classes for Fruit, 3 Classes for Floral Art, 12 Classes for children, 16 Classes for Cookery (including a Cookery Class for Men), 5 Classes for Wine (including a class for first time exhibitors), 4 Classes for Photography, 4 Classes for Craft Work and 3 Classes for Children’s Art and Floral Art.
New for this year is a class for Half a Dozen home produced eggs (Hen, duck or bantam) and the Inter-Club Competition.
There will also be a display of pictures of the Club’s exhibit “The Good Life” which won Gold in the “Inspiring Spaces” Class at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
The Show will be followed by a Summer Barn Dance in the same location and the Ho down starts at 7.30. Dancing to a live band – Silver Bough – with a licensed bar and hot food.
