Hooky pint, aka Gill Begnor from Oxfordshire, completed the London Marathon in less than five hours on Sunday to raise almost £2,000 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
The replica Old Hooky pint, brewed by Cotswold based Hook Norton brewery, is made of rigid plastic and weighs in at a hefty 11.5lbs. Gill caught the attention of the media during her run, featuring heavily across the BBC, Channel 4 and local Cotswold media.
Gill comments: "I had an absolutely amazing day. The London Marathon is a unique experience and I'd urge anyone who is even vaguely contemplating it to go for it. It is a real mix of sad stories, brave people and lots and lots of laughs that leave you feeling humbled and give a huge boost to your faith in humanity.
"The top moving moment was when a man ran past me and said 'I survived lymphoma - thank you'. The scariest moment was when a man ran past me and said 'I could murder a pint!'"
In the 2010 London Marathon, the Hooky pint broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest marathon run by a woman dressed as a bottle, finishing in four hours, 54 minutes and 36 seconds.
