Hook Norton launches Glorious 10th in honour of Cornbury Festival

Cotswold-based brewery Hook Norton has announced that it is launching a special new ale, called the Glorious 10th, as part of its sponsorship of the 10th annual Cornbury Festival on 5th to 7th July 2013.

When visitors to the festival, which takes place at Oxfordshire's Great Tew Park, aren't busy watching such acts as Keane, Van Morrison and The Proclaimers, they'll be able to enjoy the brewery's pale, crisp beer from all on-site bars. The Glorious 10th will also be available in Hook Norton pubs across the Cotswold Hills this summer.

Also on tap for Cornbury festival goers will be Lion: Pride of the Cotswolds. The exciting, fresh ale will be particularly ideal for any customers looking to show their support to the British & Irish Lions ahead of the team's crucial final test in Australia, which takes place in the Southern Hemisphere during the festival.

Hook Norton will also be hosting ‘meet the brewer' sessions at the festival for beer enthusiasts, and the brewery's beloved shire horses, who still deliver beer locally, will be at hand to meet the community.

To further celebrate the festival, Hook Norton is hosting a Cornbury-themed quiz competition at participating pubs, as well as online. All entrants who answer each question correctly will be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten pairs of tickets.

James Clarke, Managing Director (brewing) at Hook Norton, comments: "We're delighted to be sponsoring such a well-respected and much-loved event as the Cornbury Festival. We had to do something special in celebration, so to bring Glorious 10th, which we've developed especially for the festival, makes us very proud. We're also thoroughly looking forward to seeing lots of festival goers sampling our critically-acclaimed ale Lion."
